This framework allows me to incorporate theories such as Jungian analysis, psychodynamics and attachment theory with the wisdom of yoga, shamanism and meditation for a whole healing process. I welcome adults, teens, couples and families of all socio-economic backgrounds, ethnicities and sexual orientations.  I am devoted to exploration and unfolding of personal development. I specialize in working with young women ages 13 and up. Together we work to define their meanings of self, success, independence and adulthood. I especially enjoy helping people navigate life transitions, manage depression and anxiety, overcome addiction/co-dependence and build communication skills. In addition to counseling individuals, families and couples, I also facilitate groups and workshops. In this format, I guide people through a complex process of finding purpose, exploring relationships, overcoming obstacles and providing useful tools and information.  I am currently running several groups including; Rooting Down and Growing Up: A Workshop for Women in Transition, Money Talks, A Support Group for East Coast Transplants, Yoga In Action and Yoga for Emotions. I have trained, counseled and lead groups at Golden Gate Integral Counseling Center, Downtown High School and in private practice internship. I also teach yoga at Yoga Tree, San Francisco Juvenile Center and the Yoga Loft. As a transpersonal therapist, I hold a fundamental belief that humans are inclined toward healing, and that people who choose therapy are showing an innate strength and willingness to grow and thrive. I specialize in Transpersonal Psychology because of its inclusive approach. My practice welcomes and incorporates spirituality, modern day science and traditional psychological theory in a holistic and organic way.  lexi frank [home] [workshops] [therapists] Alexis Frank MA | 2171 Union St. SF, CA 94117 | 415.255.2542
