The therapeutic relationship is important to me, and I use it to deepen understanding of relational patterns that may be holding clients back from creating and enjoying the connection that they long for.

Working with couples as well as individuals, I view intimate relationships as a profound area for growth and self-awareness. My work with couples often focuses on deepening communication and intimacy as well as creating balance and healthy boundaries within relationship.

I have experience working with diverse populations, and work in areas including but not limited to: anxiety and depression, relationship issues, trauma, fertility and pregnancy, gender identity and sexuality, and parenting.

My work is grounded in psychodynamic and Jungian theory, weaving in both mindfulness and somatic approaches.  I believe strongly in the inner wisdom within each of us and hold the work of psychological healing within a larger spiritual context.

My training was completed at Golden Gate Integral Counseling Center, where I spent two years seeing clients before moving into private practice in the Cow Hollow neighborhood of San Francisco.

I hold a Masters in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a B.A. in Latin American and Latino Studies from U.C. Santa Cruz. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and prior to becoming a therapist, I spent many years working at the community level in both the U.S. and Mexico on issues of food security and sustainable agriculture.
